赵明教授，广东省引进创新科研团队核心成员，南方医科大学基础医学院病理生理学教研室副主任，广东省医学休克微循环重点实验室主任，广东省病理生理学会心血管专业委员会主任委员，研究员、博士生导师；长期从事氧应激与细胞内信号转导的研究工作，在动脉粥样硬化，肿瘤等重大疾病的免疫调节等方面进行了深入研究，发表SCI论文40余篇（影响因子累计192.18），主编英文专著《动脉硬化研究进展（Advances in Atherosclerosis Research）》，2000年获军队科技进步一等奖1项（排名第二）。赵明教授留学瑞典并获得瑞典林雪平（Linkoping）大学医学博士学位，在美国著名的Scripps研究院和路易斯维尔大学（Louisville）大学博士后深造；曾担任瑞典隆德大学(Lund University)助理教授职务；2009年7月作为海外高层次引进人才担任现职；2009年11月担任中国病理生理学会休克专业委员会委员；2010年成为新世纪百千万人才工程省级培养对象；2015年担任中国病理生理学会动脉粥样硬化专业委员会委员；国际动脉粥样硬化学会中国分会理事；2016年担任中华医学会系列杂志《国际医药卫生导报》编辑委员会副总编辑；2017年广东省病理生理学会心血管专业委员会主任委员；2019年《中国动脉硬化杂志》第六届编辑委员会委员；2020年中国病理生理学会理事，2021年第七次中-加动脉粥样硬化、血栓和血管生物学（ATVB）学术会议组委会主席。
