吴永明，南方医科大学南方医院神经内科副主任，神经重症亚专科主任，主任医师，博士生导师。现任广东省医师协会神经内科医师分会副主任委员，广东省医学会神经病学分会副主任委员、神经急危重症学组组长，中华医学会肠外肠内营养学分会神经营养支持学组副组长，中华医学会神经病学分会神经重症协作组委员，中国人体健康科技促进会重症脑损伤专业委员会副主任委员，中国康复医学会重症康复专业委员会生命支持学组副组长，广东省脑发育与脑病防治学会常务理事、癫痫病学分会副主任委员，广东省老年保健协会神经免疫与感染专业委员会副主任委员，广东省医疗行业协会神经内科管理委员会常务委员，广东省健康管理学会委员，广东省医师协会临床科主任管理分会神经内科学组委员，广东省康复医学会吞咽障碍康复分会委员等学术任职。
目前主要从事神经重症监护工作，擅长大面积脑梗塞、脑出血、严重颅内感染和癫痫持续状态等神经科危重患者的脑功能评估和诊治，熟练掌握亚低温脑保护、立体定向血肿穿刺引流、有创颅内压监测、侧脑室穿刺引流等诊疗技术。
主要研究方向为神经重症患者的神经功能评估和神经干细胞命运决定的基础研究。至今已发表SCI 50余篇。主持国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金、广东省企业联合基金各1项，参与了广东省重点领域研发计划和广东省医学科研基金等多项基金。以三作分获中华医学科技奖一等奖和广东省科技进步一等奖各1项。2020年被评为“感动广州的最美教师”、“广东省抗击新冠肺炎先进个人”和中国医师协会“杰出神经内科医师”，2023年被评为“羊城好医生”。
