医学博士，美国哥伦比亚大学博士后，副主任医师，南方医院口腔综合科负责人，南方医科大学口腔医学院硕士研究生导师，口腔全科住院医师规范化培训基地教学主任。中华口腔医学会口腔急诊专委会常务委员，中华口腔医学会牙周病专委会青年委员。

临床主攻口腔疾病的综合诊治，擅长利用综合序列治疗手段处理口腔复杂病例。较早开展牙周组织再生性的手术治疗，牙周美容手术，牙种植及种植体周围炎的防治等。从事牙齿发育及再生研究，在牙髓牙本质及牙周组织再生研究及临床应用方面进行系列深入研究。长期从事本科生、研究生和进修生的临床教学负责人,负责南方医院口腔科本科生临床教学。每年承担牙周病学的本科生、进修生理论课和实验课教学任务。主持和参与多项国家级、省级科研项目，发表论文十余篇，其中SCI文章15篇，参编专著一部。在口腔健康教育方面也有较突出表现，是健康报特约科普作家。
