夏来新，二级教授，博士生导师，教育部特聘专家，国家优秀青年基金获得者，“广东省特支计划”科技创新领军人才，中国动物学会生殖生物学分会委员，南方医科大学基础医学院发育生物学教研室主任。致力于RNA代谢与发育调控相关研究。发现m6A直接逆向调控抑制性组蛋白标记H3K9m2去甲基化的现象和机制，确立了RNA m6A修饰与组蛋白动态修饰之间的直接关系(Nature Genetics, 2020)；绘制了人类胎儿组织的全转录组m6A修饰图谱，并揭示了其发育调控特征(Nature Cell Biology, 2019)；发现了METTL14精氨酸甲基化动态调控m6A发生的机制和功能(Nature Communications, 2021)。以通讯作者或第一作者在Cell, Nature Genetics, Nature Cell Biology, PNAS, Nature Communications 等期刊上发表多篇论文。主持科技部重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金等8项国家级课题。
